The digiDirect Group has pledged its support to Ronald McDonald House Charities by participating in its group volunteering program, Meals from the Heart. This initiative provides warm, home-cooked meals to families staying at Ronald McDonald House while their children receive medical care.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney has provided life-changing support to families with sick and injured children since 1981. Its services include a 60-room House next door to The Children’s Hospital Westmead, along with a Day Pass Program at its Westmead House, where families with a child who is a patient of the hospital can access much-needed facilities. Additionally, they also provide Hospitality Carts that operate on the children’s wards of Nepean and Campbelltown Hospital and a Learning Program. In total, it supports over 2,500 families every year.
With Meals from the Heart, families who often have no time, funds or energy to buy or cook, can find comfort in coming home to a healthy home-cooked meal, served by warm and friendly faces.
Staff from The digiDirect Group stepped in to make a meaningful difference for families and help make Ronald McDonald House a home across the week. A number of the team donned their aprons and cooked up a storm, taking over the kitchen to create a number of delicious meals for families to enjoy at a time they needed them the most.
The company will continue to demonstrate its commitment to the cause with further initiatives planned into 2026.
